Non-Charter School Student Magnet Application Procedures
Thank you in advance for your interest in our magnet programs. Please visit both of the links below in order to obtain essential information for the application process. Please be sure to adhere to all established timelines as these dates are final.
Step 1 (Optional) - Tour the School (several dates available)
This tour give applicants the opportunity to see first hand the wonderful things happening at Arvida Middle School. All tours are on Friday and begin promptly at 8:30 AM in the Media Center. The tours typically last about 1.5 hours and include an introduction to our Magnet Programs, explanation of guidelines and application process, a question and answer session and a guided tour. All student applicants are encouraged to attend with a parent/guardian (excused tardy note will be provided).** Applicants are NOT required to attend a guided tour in order to apply**
Step 2 - Review Acceptance Requirements
Step 3 - Apply at District (due on or before January 15th)
Since your child is in private school you will need to contact Miami Dade County Public Schools to request that your child be given a temporary Student Identification Number. Be sure to complete this step before you begin the application process.
